Ever feel a positive buzzing sensation in your body and wonder what is happening to you? Are you experiencing happiness in the present moment? Could it be an opportunity to connect with something at a higher level?
Feeling the present moment with all of your senses is one way to unlock joy. After all, the past is over, and the future is yet to be, so why not focus on the present instead?
“The past is finished. Learn from it and let it go. The future is not even here yet. Plan for it, but do not waste your time worrying about it. Worrying is worthless. When you stop ruminating about what has already happened, when you stop worrying about what might never happen, then you will be in the present moment. Then you will begin to experience joy in life.” – Brian L Weiss
By staying in the present, you not only unlock joy, but you may improve your psychic abilities too. All kinds of magical moments unfolded during a recent trip to Africa – all because I stayed in the present moment.
The Origin of Life: Africa?
In August, I traveled with a friend on a business trip to the country of Uganda. What an adventure it turned out to be!
The African continent is a magical place brimming with beauty and mystery.
Perhaps it is because scientists suggest Africa represents the origination point of all living humans? Mitochondrial Eve was believed to have originated in East Africa around circa 100-150. Mitochondrial Eve represents one unbroken ancestral line of mitochondrial DNA known as a Most Recent Common Ancestor (MRCA), which has been passed from mother to daughter for more than 200,000 years.
All Land Is Ancient
Uganda’s earliest inhabitants showed up around 50,000 years ago. Most farmed around Lake Victoria, which borders Kenya, Tanzania, Sudan, and the Congo in East Africa. In the 1800s, the British saw value in the country’s minerals and farming capabilities, so Uganda became part of the British Commonwealth under British Rule. By 1962, Uganda left the Commonwealth, choosing self-rule instead.
The land in Uganda has moist, dark brown, crumbly soil, which is perfect for agricultural farming. The growing season is year-round, so it is no wonder the first inhabitants chose this swath of land to plant crops.
Reaching A Higher Vibration
My energy shifted upon arrival in Uganda. I felt lighter and closer to God/Spirit/Love/Source. I focused on love instead of ego. Emotions such as fear, anger, envy, sadness, and irritation, simply fell away. I felt a little light-headed and smiled a lot. I sensed a whole-hearted connection to a higher vibration. It was as if I could see and feel emotions – and emotional shifts – in people around me. This full-on level of awareness had an effect on all of my five senses. My extra sensory perception (ESP) shifted into overdrive too.
I chose a simple approach to keep this positive vibration going.
In the hotel, I ate fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, and fish daily. I did not eat meat with the exception of eggs. I did not consume processed foods either. Early mornings were spent on walks or in meditation. During the evening, I sat by a pond and listened as frogs and crickets sang loudly. I drank caffeine and alcohol sparingly.
I felt peaceful.
A ghostly little girl inhabited my hotel room. She played with electric lights in my room and when I traveled to other locations in the country. She had a sense of humor!
The Eyes are the Windows to the Soul
As a member of the international business team, I had an opportunity to sit before a senior official of Uganda. To my surprise, he stared into my eyes. He held my gaze for more than a minute. Because I was vibrating at a higher level I was not intimidated or uncomfortable by his action at all. I met his gaze and held it until his stare softened. All I could think was, “Well, I guess he knows I am an intuitive now!”
One of the team members, a Ugandan man named William*, figured out quickly that I was not a typical American.
I heard him try to explain to another team member, “Don’t you see it? It’s her aura!” He would watch me with a curious expression on his face. At several points during my stay, he would stand close to me and touch my shoulder with his. I would laugh and ask him, “What are you doing William?” He would respond, “I want some of that. You know, what you have – that Zen.” I smiled and said, “Meditation helps.”
A few days later, during a university visit, a professor from Kenya saw something in me too. He reached for my arm and drug me over to where he was sitting. He said, “I want you to sit here with me,” and so I did.
A similar situation occurred during a during a group dinner with other officials as well. They said, “Please. Sit with us!”
The entire Ugandan experience can only be described as otherworldly and highly spiritual. It raised my awareness to a higher level and changed me for the better.
Shifting Your Vibration
So how can you achieve a higher vibration? Keep your thoughts positive whenever possible. Have an attitude of gratitude. Eat foods that heal such as fresh food. Spend time listening to and connecting with nature. You would be amazed at the shift you will feel in your mind-body-spirit by incorporating some of these steps in your daily activities.
